Film Boundless Seams
2026

Boundless Seams offers a compelling and intimate look at New York-based designer and embroidery specialist Laura Weber, the first independent designer to create uniforms for Ireland's Olympians, showcased at the 2024 Paris Games. This project coincides with the centennial anniversary of Ireland’s debut as a Free State in the Olympic Games, also held in Paris in 1924.

Beyond the historic context, we see the daily rhythms and relationships that sustain a life’s work across different careers. The film traces the intersection of seemingly distinct fields of embroidery and sports, united by movement, dedication, and care. The film seamlessly blends the worlds of embroidery and sport through expressive filmmaking and sonic composition.

This project is supported by the Arts Council of Ireland, CCI Paris, and Tipperary Museum of Hidden History.
